The Better Men, Better Lives Fund

 

At the 2012 Annual Meeting, Brother Ryan Primiano brought to our attention that there should be a way for the younger Alumni to "Pay the Debt" from a financial perspective, for all the support that the ACB and past generations of Alumni extended to the Chapter in trying to get the "Delta Sig House" re-established at the Fine Arts Building. He suggested making a pledge to donate a modest donation of '$50 for 50 Years', just as his wife's sorority members do. This past year's ACB decided that the idea had merit and we have framed the use of newly created fund. The Better Men, Better Lives Fund.

 

The Fund will have two aspects. The first is the Better Men aspect. We will use the money for a scholarship opportunity for a deserving member of the undergraduate chapter. When the fund has grown enough the ACB will take applications from the undergraduates and evaluate them to ensure that our young members have the ability to remain in school and be come Better Men.

 

The second aspect is the Better Lives. When donations exceed the scholarship amount the surplus will be able to be used at the ACB's discretion for any number of programs. In the past years the ACB has fronted money for undergraduate programs like Hunger on the Street which feed Cleveland's homeless population. Other ventures have been as a loan to assist the undergraduates make a payment to attend national events, since the university only reimburses for such travel. And lastly the funds could be used to help bring new exciting things to our annual banquet and events throughout the year.

 

Please pledge to donate on a yearly basis. Bring your donation each year to the Annual Meeting or Annual Banquet. if you cannot attend either event, mail your donation.
